PAYDAY 3 has been announced by OVERKILL Software and given a teaser trailer featuring pre-alpha in-engine game footage. Developed by OVERKILL Software, which is owned by Starbreeze Studios, the game will be published by Prime Matter sometime in 2023. It has been ten years since the release of PAYDAY 2 and the third installment will see the crew of the Payday gang come out of retirement to deal with a new threat. PAYDAY 3 is a cooperative first-person shooter action RPG game whose developers state contains “repeated displays of gun violence, including the shooting of civilians and law enforcement. PAYDAY 3 references alcohol and tobacco as well as illegal drugs in a lighthearted way.

Description

“PAYDAY 3 is the much-anticipated sequel to one of the most popular co-op shooters ever. Since its release, PAYDAY players have been reveling in the thrill of a perfectly planned and executed heist. That’s what makes PAYDAY a high-octane, co-op FPS experience without equal.

Step out of retirement back into the life of crime in the shoes of the Payday Gang, the envy of their peers, and the nightmare of law enforcement wherever they go. Several years after the crew’s reign of terror over Washington DC has ended, they assemble once again to deal with the threat that roused them out of early retirement.”

Although it is available for adding to a wishlist on Steam no PC specifications, price, or release date, have been revealed yet. Starbreeze Studios has said it plans to have Steam as the primary storefront for the game and will be revealing more information soon.

A warm welcome to seasoned heisters and newcomers alike, to the community hub for PAYDAY 3! My name is Almir Listo and I’m the Head of Community here at Starbreeze Studios, and on behalf of myself and the crew, we’d first of all just like to say: It’s PAYDAY!

We’ve seen a lot of questions about whether PAYDAY 3 would be coming to Steam or not. We are proud to announce that this Community Hub will be our primary platform on PC, just like it is for PAYDAY 2. We love spending our time here together with you heisters, and we look forward to sharing more news and interesting details about PAYDAY 3 as we draw closer to its release.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
