Netflix’s Premium plan already offers what the company suggests is the highest-quality viewing experience available, with benefits that include 4K streaming and support for Dolby Vision, but members can now enjoy better audio, too. According to a post that Netflix shared today, spatial audio is now available to Premium members at no additional cost, enabling those who are subscribed to the service’s priciest tier to experience enhanced stereo audio for a more immersive cinematic sound experience without the need for surround sound speakers. Spatial Audio is already available on 700 of Netflix’s most-watched titles, including Stranger Things and Wednesday.

From a Netflix post:

Netflix’s Premium plan already offers the highest quality viewing experience, with beautiful, crisp, 4K HDR video resolution without ads, the ability to watch and download series and films on four supported devices at a time, and more. Now, with Netflix spatial audio, our members with Premium will enjoy the highest quality sound experience available, whether they are watching at home on TV or a computer, or on the go with a phone or tablet.

Netflix spatial audio brings an immersive, cinematic sound experience on any device with no additional equipment required — and now it’s available on more than 700 of our top watched titles, including Stranger Things, The Watcher, Wednesday, and Knives Out: Glass Onion.

Ready to hear the difference yourself? Watch the short video below, or log into your Netflix account and look for a new spatial audio badge on shows and movies. To see the full list of titles with spatial audio, just type “spatial audio” into the search bar on Netflix.
