AMD announced a slew of processors during its CES 2023 event, including the Ryzen 9 7845HX, a new mobile Zen 4 processor that features 12 cores, 24 threads, and a boost clock of up to 5.2 GHz. According to the latest CPU Mark rankings from PassMark, this CPU definitely won’t disappoint in the performance department, having taken the number-one spot by garnering 46,791 points in that particular test—a number that would imply around up to 90% higher performance (multi-threaded) than one of its predecessors, the Ryzen 9 6900HX, now relegated to 14th place with 24,640 points. And this isn’t even AMD’s most powerful Ryzen 7045HX Series offering.
