GIGABYTE Announces 24 GB and 48 GB DDR5 Memory Support for Intel 600|700 Series Motherboards

MSI announced support of higher-capacity DDR5 memory modules for select motherboards last week, and GIGABYTE appears to be the next to follow suit. According to a press release by the manufacturer behind the AORUS brand, GIGABYTE’s Intel 700 and 600 series DDR5 motherboards now support 24 GB and 48 GB memory modules, boosting their maximum RAM support from 128 GB to 192GB on four DIMMs and 64 GB to 96 GB on two DIMMs. The company has clarified that no BIOS update is required.

GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and hardware solutions, today announced that its Intel 700 and 600 series DDR5 motherboards can support 24GB and 48GB memory modules without BIOS update. This boosts the maximum RAM support from 128GB to 192GB on four DIMMs, and 64GB to 96GB on two DIMMs. The maximum speed runs up to XMP 7000 on 2 DIMMs 24GB configuration.
