Samsung has announced the release of the Odyssey Neo G7 (G70NC), its first flat gaming monitor with Quantum Mini LEDs, a technology that the company says enables not only richer blacks, but also more expansive color expression and detail, even in shadowy gaming scenes. Core specifications of the G70NC include a 43-inch 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) panel with VESA Display HDR600 and HDR 10+ certification, a 144 Hz refresh rate, 1-ms (MPRT) response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43” is now available to purchase for $999.99 on Samsung.com and select retailers nationwide.

From a Samsung press release:

The large screen has 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) with VESA Display HDR600 and HDR 10+ certification to deliver stunning picture quality, and it uses Samsung’s Quantum Mini LEDs to generate richer blacks, more expansive color expression and more detail, even in shadowy gaming scenes. The monitor’s Matte Display also reduces light reflection on the screen to preserve the details in those gaming scenes.

For extremely smooth gameplay and precise mouse movements, Neo G7 has a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms (MPRT) response time. Even during fast action game scenes, the Neo G7 keeps extremely smooth and reduces stuttering, input latency and screen tearing with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support.

Odyssey Neo G7 also has a range of gaming personalization and smart TV features, including Flex Move Screen, Game Bar and Samsung Smart Hub that includes popular video and game streaming apps. Flex Move Screen allows gamers to adjust the screen size between 43- and 20-inches to match their preferred screen size based on the type of game they’re playing.

Game Bar allows users to easily change FPS (Frames Per Second), aspect ratio, high dynamic range (HDR) and variable refresh rate (VRR) or adjust settings such as screen ratio, response time and Game Picture mode. Game Bar puts the player in control without missing any of the action.

Samsung Gaming Hub is an all-in-one game streaming discovery platform that allows instant access to games from partners such as Xbox and NVIDIA GeForce NOW via Wi-Fi connection, with no downloads or storage space requirements. It is the ultimate tool to enable users the freedom to explore every corner of the gaming world without limitations.

In addition, gamers can also get the smart TV experience with popular video streaming apps from partners like Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube through Samsung Smart Hub without even booting up their PC or console.
