Enthusiasts who were looking to score an Ampere GPU with reference cooler direct from NVIDIA may have missed their chance. As spotted by French outlet Cowcotland, NVIDIA has seemingly removed all GeForce RTX 30 Series Founders Edition listings from its US and French shops, including the GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080, and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, a capper to the Ampere generation that NVIDIA launched in March 2022 for $1,999. That said, NVIDIA continues to link to a handful of custom GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards on its online shop, such as ZOTAC’s own GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, which is listed for $1,079.99.

From a Cowcotland report (machine translation):

What a surprise, whether on the French shop or on the American shop, it no longer seems possible to order an NVIDIA RTX 3000 graphics card in a Founders Edition version . Indeed, all the 3000 FE models, therefore the 3060, 3060 Ti, 3070, 3080, 3080 Ti, 3090 and 3090 Ti, are no longer listed, and this, as we said, in our beautiful country, or in the USA.

Bug or end of life for the RTX 3000 Founders Edition, impossible to know for the moment, but the fact that the cards disappeared from both stores at the same time is still very likely a sign that the 3000 FE have been pushed to the retirement to make room for the younger generation. At the same time, let’s remember that the 3000 FE were sold off in the USA…
