Survival horror fans continue to beg Capcom for a new Dino Crisis game, but while it’s unclear whether that will ever happen, the next best thing may be just around the corner. Capcom has announced that Exoprimal, a new online team-based action game that tasks players with killing lots and lots of dinosaurs in Exosuits, is launching on July 14, 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC—and not only that, it’ll also be available to play on day one via Microsoft’s game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass (consoles, Windows, and Cloud). According to a release date trailer that Capcom posted for Exoprimal, players can expect some pretty nice visuals in the game, coupled by exciting scenes that include dinosaurs raining from the sky. An open beta for Exoprimal will be available next week.

From an Xbox Wire post:

The Exoprimal Open Beta Test will allow you to sink your teeth into our main game mode, Dino Survival. In this mode, two teams of Exosuit pilots race to complete objectives while fighting off swarms of deadly dinosaurs that have mysteriously started popping up around the globe. Each match is different from the last, too, so stay on your toes! Some missions climax in direct confrontations with rival Exofighter teams, but in others you’ll need to forge an uneasy alliance and overcome a mutual enemy.

The Open Beta Test kicks off on Thursday, March 16 at 5:00pm PDT and the wargames run until Sunday, March 19 at 4:59pm PDT. The Open Beta Test will also feature cross-platform matchmaking, enabling Exofighter squads from one system to compete against teams playing on other platforms. As a bonus, we’re also providing all Open Beta Test participants with the opportunity to receive an Aibius Medal charm to decorate your Exosuits when the full game launches this July. Check out our official website to learn more about the Open Beta Test and get this special cosmetic item. A Capcom ID is required to play Exoprimal, so if you don’t have one just yet, you can sign up right here.
