Samsung Electronics Expands Self-Repair Program for Galaxy Devices to Europe

Samsung Electronics has announced that its Self-Repair program is now available in Europe, allowing those in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the UK to make their own repairs for select Samsung devices with repair kits and genuine parts from a pair of leading parts distributors (e.g., ASWO and 2Service). The products that are currently supported include the Galaxy S20, S21, and S22 series of products, as well as the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360. Samsung’s Self-Repair program was launched in the U.S. over a year ago, in March 2022.

“Samsung is working to extend the lifecycle of our devices to encourage users to experience the optimized performance of their Galaxy device for as long as possible,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to scaling access to our Self-Repair program around the world while improving the repairability of our products.”

Now, even more Galaxy customers who wish to make their own device repairs can access the tools they need, including repair kits and genuine Samsung parts, which can help prolong the lifecycle of their devices, if properly repaired. The program supports repairs to the Galaxy S20, S21 and S22 series of products as well as the Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360.

Samsung first launched its Self-Repair program in the United States in 2022. To take the program to European customers, Samsung is openly collaborating with leading parts distributors in Europe, such as:

  • ASWO, a Germany-based after-sales service and electronics specialist for Europe and authorized Samsung distributor
  • 2Service, a Dutch electronics parts supplier and Samsung authorized distributor

Starting today, Galaxy S20, 21, and S22 series users in Europe can replace the phone screen, back glass and charging ports.4 Galaxy Book Pro series owners will have access to seven genuine parts to take repair into their own hands. This includes the case front, case rear, display, battery, touchpad, power key with fingerprint reader, and rubber feet. Customers will also be able to keep all repair tools so they can use them whenever they need, providing a convenient, no-hassle experience to fix their Galaxy devices at any time.

Samsung is committed to expanding its Self-Repair program in the near future to include more devices, repair tools, manuals and markets. These efforts seek to broaden access to repair capabilities, empowering Galaxy customers with more choices to repair their technology.
