Power and Temperature
To test the power and temperature we perform a manual run-through in Cyberpunk 2077 at “Ultra” settings for real-world in-game data. We use GPU-Z sensor data to record the results. We report on the GPU-Z sensor data for “Board Power” and “GPU Chip Power” when available for our Wattage data. For temperature data, we report the GPU (Edge Temp of the GPU or Package Temp) as well as Hot Spot (Junction Temperature) when available for our temperature data.
The TGP of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is rated at 160W. According to GPU-Z the board power by default is right at that, 157W in our testing. When we overclock the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti FE the board power rose by only 5.7W or 4%. Even overclocked, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti uses 21% less power than the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, but yet performs faster. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is an incredibly efficient video card.
Keep in mind that for the overclocked data you see above, we have both fans on the video card set to 100% fan speed for the overclock. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition cooling system works great, at high fan speeds and overclocked it remains incredibly cool.
