Microsoft has revealed a special edition of the Xbox Series S, designed to look like a Barbie Dreamhouse. This unique console is part of a series of events and promotions being held by Xbox to celebrate the upcoming Barbie movie from Warner Bros. Pictures, which stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, set for release on July 21, 2023.

The Barbie-themed Xbox Series S features a pink design and comes with a three-story Barbie Dreamhouse playset. The second story of the playset includes a living room and garden, while the console itself is built into the lowest story. In addition to the console, Microsoft has also created special Xbox Wireless Controller faceplates designed to resemble Barbie and Ken’s outfits from the movie.

Fans will have the opportunity to win this exclusive console through a competition taking place on the Xbox Twitter account and the Microsoft Rewards page starting on July 10. Alongside the console, players can also win one of 10 special Barbie dolls wearing Xbox-themed clothes and accessories, including an Xbox Series S, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Adaptive Controller. Details about the international sweepstakes for the dolls are yet to be announced.

Additionally, as part of the promotion, two Barbie-themed cars have been added to Forza Horizon 5: the 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV Corvette and the 2022 GMC Hummer EV. Players can claim these vehicles for free by visiting the in-game Message Center.

A livestream will also be taking place on July 14 on the official World of Barbie account. During the event, developers who have worked on the Forza franchise will discuss their career journeys, motivations, and personal connections to Barbie.

This collaboration between Microsoft and Mattel, the toy manufacturer responsible for both Barbie and Hot Wheels, highlights the long-running relationship between the two companies. Forza Horizon 5 previously received a Hot Wheels expansion in July last year, as well as in Forza Horizon 3 back in 2017.
