RedGamingTech has shared the alleged core configurations for a number of Intel’s upcoming 14th Gen Core “Raptor Lake Refresh” processors. The Core i9-14900K, the flagship, appears to be staying the same, with eight Performance cores and 16 Efficient cores just like the Core i9-13900K, but some of the other models are getting up to four additional cores and threads versus the older generation, according to comparisons shared online. The i9 models also appear to have higher clocks (+.2 GHz).

14th Gen Intel Core “Raptor Lake Refresh” Core Configurations (Rumored)

  • i9 14900/K/F: 8p + 16e
  • i7 14700/K/F: 8p + 12e
  • i5 14600K/F: 8p + Be
  • i5 14500: 6p + 8e
  • i5 14400/F: 6p + 8e
  • i3 14300: 6p
  • i3 14100/F: 6p

Those looking at sub $300 SKUs, namely the Core i5 series, should also be pleased to know that Intel is expected to put 16 cores and 24 threads for this segment. Such a configuration was used by first generation LGA1700 CPUs from the Core i9 tier. However, this makes a lot of sense given that the Core i9-12900K series are approaching $300 pricing.
