Universal Pictures has released a new 5-minute trailer for Oppenheimer, offering a more extensive look at the latest film from Christopher Nolan that’s scheduled to hit IMAX and other theaters on July 21, 2023. The release of the trailer comes just a few days after the first reactions for the film surfaced on social media and feature stories, many of which are glowing, with some calling the feature Nolan’s “most impressive” work ever. Cillian Murphy, who stars as Oppenheimer’s titular physicist, previously worked with Nolan in 2017’s Dunkirk and all of his Batman films, including 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, where he played Scarecrow.

#Oppenheimer left me stunned: a character study on the grandest scale, with a sublime central performance by Cillian Murphy. An epic historical drama but with a distinctly Nolan sensibility: the tension, structure, sense of scale, startling sound design, remarkable visuals. Wow
