Seagate Launches Officially Licensed Game Drive PS5 NVMe SSD with Up to 7,300 MB/s Speeds

Seagate has announced that it has begun shipping its Game Drive PS5 NVMe SSDs. Officially licensed and available in 1 TB ($99.99) and 2 TB ($159.99) capacities, these are new PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSDs for the PS5 that feature sequential read speeds of up to 7300 MB/s, an endurance of 1.8M MTBF and up to 2550 TBW, a Seagate-validated E18 controller, 3D TLC NAND, and a minimalistic heat sink. The SSD also comes with a five-year limited warranty.

The drive offers gamers the latest PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD technology and the fastest performance from the company’s line of officially licensed for PlayStation storage products – bringing speed, endurance, and high capacity to PlayStation 5.

Delivering sequential read speeds of up to 7300 MB/s, the Seagate Game Drive PS5 NVMe SSD catalyzes PCIe Gen4 power with transfer rates up to two times faster than PCIe Gen3 SSDs.
