Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Early Access Beta for Xbox and PC Is Live, with Open Beta for All Platforms Commencing Saturday, October 14

Activision and Blizzard Entertainment have announced that weekend two of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Multiplayer Beta is now live, allowing Xbox and PC players with Early Access to get an idea of how many head shots they can get in the new shooter led by Sledgehammer Games. According to a blog post from Blizzard, which contains a copy of the minimum and recommended PC specifications for the FPS, Modern Warfare III’s Multiplayer Beta is available now for Xbox and PC players who have pre-ordered the game, while an Open Beta, available regardless of pre-order status, will begin on Saturday, October 14, for all platforms. That would include PlayStation, whose Early Access phase launched earlier this month, on October 6. Complementing the launch of the beta is a new trailer that showcases some of the features that can be found in the PC version of Modern Warfare III, including NVIDIA DLSS 3.

The Modern Warfare III Beta will be split into two different weekends, with more maps and game modes scheduled throughout the Beta. The Multiplayer maps will be instantly familiar to anyone who has played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009), featuring the latest technical advancements and modern movement mechanics for a completely refreshed experience.

Players can obtain a maximum level of 30 during the second weekend of the Beta, adding more unlockable items in addition to gaining access to the challenge-based Armory Unlocks.
