Alan Wake fans who manage to blow through the sequel this weekend may want to keep their flashlights powered up, as Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2 will be receiving at least two expansions in 2024. According to a press release that the developer shared, the first will be themed around the franchise’s fictional, Twilight Zone-inspired TV show, Night Springs, allowing players to experience “multiple” episodes of the show as different characters, while the second will take place at a mysterious facility at Cauldron Lake called The Lake House. Alan Wake 2, which is releasing digitally for PC on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S tomorrow, has already received glowing reviews from the press, with some calling it “one of the greatest pieces of storytelling crafted.” (The game has a “generally favorable” Metascore of 88 on Metacritic at the time of this writing.)

Alan Wake 2 “Night Springs” Expansion

Visions and dreams. Fiction is written and coming true. Fiction collapses and remains just words on a page. These are those stories… in Night Springs. Play as several familiar characters from the world of Alan Wake and experience the unexplainable in multiple self-contained episodes of Night Springs, a fictional TV show set in the world of Alan Wake.

Alan Wake 2 “The Lake House” Expansion

The Lake House is a mysterious facility situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake set up by an independent government organisation to conduct secret research… until something goes wrong. Explore the Lake House and embark on two separate adventures as the realities of Saga Anderson and Alan Wake collide again.
