ASRock Launches AMD WRX90 WS EVO and TRX50 WS Motherboards for Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series and Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series Processors with Up to Five Active Cooling Fans

How many fans does a motherboard need these days? For ASRock, the answer to that question appears to be “more,” having shared a press release today that teases the release of new AMD WRX90 and TRX50 motherboards with up to five active cooling fans. The WRX90 WS EVO and TRX50 WS for AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 and AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors, as they’re called, also feature support for 4/8 channel memory (up to 1 TB/2 TB DDR5 ECC RDIMM), PCI-Express 5.0 expansion slots, and server grade storage expansion, such as Slim-SAS and MCIO and 10 Gbps Ethernet. Other highlights include an ultra-low loss PCB and 18+3+3 phase SPS Dr.MOS VRM design. (The product listing for the WRX90 WS EVO does not appear to be live yet at the time of this writing.)
