There’s still no word on when Codename RED is coming out, but Assassin’s Creed fans can expect to spend more time in Ubisoft’s latest installment of the franchise.

In a tweet from yesterday, Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be getting a new mode in the form of New Game+ this December, and not only that, it’ll be a completely free update.

The update will even introduce a permadeath mode, a mode in which players may want to be extra careful about where they sneak Basim into, or what rooftops they jump off of.

Here’s the full confirmation from Ubisoft, which comes from the official Assassin’s Creed account:

We hear you: New Game + mode for Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available in a free update this December. And for the expert Assassins, along with NG+ will come an optional permadeath mode also available across all difficulties!

And here’s an official description of the game from Ubisoft, which released in October and is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Amazon Luna, and Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store:

Experience the story of Basim, a cunning street thief with nightmarish visions, seeking answers and justice as he navigates the bustling streets of ninth-century Baghdad. Through a mysterious, ancient organization known as the Hidden Ones, he will become a deadly Master Assassin and change his fate in ways he never could have imagined.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage received a new title update this month that fixed various bugs in the game and included new features, including the ability to disable Chromatic Aberration.
