AMD is supposedly planning to launch and begin selling its Ryzen 8000G Series APUs with Zen 4 cores and RDNA 3 graphics on January 31, 2024 and February 11, 2024, respectively. The news comes from Persian site sakhtafzarmag.com, which shared some benchmarks that tease what the chips can do in the usual benchmarking tools, as well as popular games, including Cyberpunk 2077 and God of War. It looks like the Ryzen 8000G family will comprise at least 14 models, with the Ryzen 7 8700G, Ryzen 5 8600G, and Ryzen 3 8500G said to be releasing first.
Undoubtedly, the most attractive processor of this series will be the Ryzen 7 8700G, which uses 8 cores and 16 Zen 4 threads, thermal power of 45/65 watts, clock speed of 4.2 to 5.1 GHz, and also the powerful RDNA 3 integrated graphics.
AMD is also supposedly releasing the Ryzen 7 5700X3D on that same date, along with other chips that include the Ryzen 5 5600G.
On the same date, another X3D processor will be released for the AM4 platform called the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, which is designed to compete with the Core i5 13600K and Core i5 14600K. This model uses 8 cores and 16 processing threads, but it will have a lower clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
At the same time, other processors will be released, including replacing the Ryzen 5 5600G in the first season with the Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT. Also, the Ryzen 7 5700 NPU chip will be released at the end of January.
