BioWare has shared a new trailer for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf as part of its celebrations for Dragon Age Day, revealing that the new RPG will finally be getting a “full reveal” with new trailers, gameplay, and more in the summer of 2024.

Corinne Busche, Game Director, and Mark Darrah, Sr. Production Advisor, have told players that they will be able to explore more areas of Thedas than ever before, as teased in the trailer, hinting at a fourth mainline installment of Dragon Age that could very well be the franchise’s biggest title yet:

In past games, you only got to see a slice of the world. In Origins, it was Ferelden—a land ravaged by war and darkspawn. In II, it was Kirkwall and its locales—festering with corruption and a dark underworld. And in Inquisition, you ventured across much of Orlais—facing down political intrigue as often as combat.

This time, however, much more of Thedas is yours to see. The desolate, beautiful badlands of the Anderfels with curtains of distant mountainous spires. The twisting canals and gleaming towers of Antiva, where Crows may lurk in any shadow. The turquoise seas of Rivain with its rushes of greenery and hardy sea-faring people. And of course, there’s more.

BioWare goes on to say that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will feature many more locations than past games, including those that were teased in previous installments, as well as brand-new ones.

And as for why Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is taking its sweet time, here’s what Busche had to say:

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is the product of hard work and love. We know how much this world means to all of you, how these experiences stay with you. We want to get it right, so we’ve taken our time.

For now, fans can check out Dragon Age: The Official Cookbook: Tastes of Thedas, a new cookbook that features recipes inspired by BioWare’s fantasy RPG.
