Bethesda Game Studios has announced that a new update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is now available, bringing support for not only Steam Deck and ultrawide monitors (16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9) for those on PC, but also Bethesda Game Studios Creations, an enhanced platform for building and sharing community-made content.

Per a blog post that Bethesda shared today, Creations is an evolution of the Creation Club program that allows players to discover, download, and play community-made content in the most recent mainline Elder Scrolls game, which released in 2011 but continues to receive support from the Microsoft-owned studio.

Here’s what Bethesda had to say about Creations, something that more artistically inclined Skyrim players can apparently look into as a way of making extra money:

In continuing to evolve with the Skyrim community, we are excited to announce Bethesda Game Studios Creations, an updated way for players to discover, download and play community-made content. Creations combines Skyrim’s existing Mods, Creation Club items and all-new Creations under a single Creations menu available for players to browse today in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.

Creators can put up their own Creations for players to enjoy, or even apply to the Bethesda Game Studios Verified Creator Program to set prices for their Creations. That’s right: become a Verified Creator and you could earn a royalty for each of your Creations sold within Skyrim Special Edition.

Bethesda goes on to confirm that the Creations website is also undergoing a redesign to help with content discovery, bringing the following new features:

  • Visual overhaul – We’ve redesigned the website to help with content discovery, and better showcase official features.
  • “Like” system – The current 5-star rating system is being replaced with “Likes,” to better reflect how this system is used and reduce trolling.
  • Social Sharing improvements – Sharing content links will now include an image and description text.
  • Description changes – Content descriptions now support markup formatting and hyperlinks. These formatting additions are only applied when viewing a mod profile on the website, not when reading mod descriptions in-game.

The full patch notes for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition’s latest update, which also includes changes for the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game, can be found here, while a few of the new Creations that are debuting with the launch of Bethesda’s new platform can be found below.

From Creator Niero comes this lavish Thalmor robe, offering a simple yet stunning outfit for players’ wardrobes. Just because you spend a lot of time adventuring doesn’t mean you can’t look good doing it.

Bethesda Game Studios launched The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition in October 2016, an updated version of the game that introduced mod support on consoles, remastered art and effects, volumetric lighting, and more.
