BenQ has listed the ZOWIE XL2586X, a gaming monitor designed for esports that features a blistering-fast refresh rate of 540 Hz.

Here are some of the monitor’s key features, per BenQ, which also shared a press release elaborating on its highlights:

  • 540Hz Refresh Rate; Fast TN Panel
  • New DyAc 2 Technology
  • Auto Game Mode by XL Setting to Share
  • New height adjustment powered by industrial-grade bearing design
  • Black eQualizer; Color Vibrance; S Switch; Shielding Hood

And here’s what BenQ had to say about DyAc, a technology that is supposed to reduce motion blur in LCD panels:

It reduces vigorous screen shaking in-game and can help improve recoil control in CS:GO. Perhaps the difference is minimal and varies from person to person but the difference in the arena is often that 1%.

“ZOWIE is pleased to announce the XL2546X and XL2586X gaming monitors featuring Fast-TN panels and exclusive DyAc 2 technology with a new dual backlight design for clear motion and precision gaming,” BenQ said for a promotional video that was shared last week.

“The all-new design for the 240Hz XL2546X and 540Hz XL2586X also provides a higher level of comfortable ergonomic adjustability; the updated XL setting to share makes convenient automatic in-game color mode selection possible.”

As noted in BenQ’s press release and video, the ZOWIE XL2546X is also available to pre-order from the company for those who think 240 Hz is good enough.

ASUS is another company that’s selling a 540 Hz monitor, the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP.

“The ROG Swift Pro PG248QP is the world’s fastest esports gaming monitor. Designed for professional FPS gamers, with a 24.1-inch Esports-TN (E-TN) panel boasting a 540 Hz (OC) refresh rate and built-in NVIDIA G-SYNC processor, the PG248QP offers incredibly smooth gameplay and unmatched realism, reads a description for ASUS’ alternative.
