Press release:

ASUS ZenScreen Fold OLED MQ17QH is the world’s first foldable OLED portable monitor. This 17.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1920) foldable OLED monitor features a waterdrop-style hinge that ensures a flawless fold, adding elegance to the design and facilitating seamless transitions between viewing angles. When open, it boasts a remarkably thin 9.7 mm profile and weighs just 1.17 kg, setting a new standard for portability and performance. The DisplayHDR True Black 500-compliant display offers rich colors and stunning contrast, maintaining true-to-life visuals thanks to its 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Versatile connectivity, including mini HDMI and dual USB-C ports, seamlessly integrates the ZenScreen Fold OLED into any digital ecosystem. Its standard tripod socket adapts to various setups, providing stability for work or creative endeavors.

Additional details:

To keep the ZenScreen Fold OLED supremely portable, we designed it with a waterdrop-style hinge. It’s radically different than the U-shaped hinges that you might have experienced with other devices featuring foldable displays. Designed with hundreds of parts, this detailed mechanism is able to bring the two sides of the closer together, all but eliminating the gap that can make foldable devices chunkier than you’d like. Additionally, this design minimizes any creasing along the spine of the ZenScreen Fold OLED — when the display is active and fully opened, you’ll hardly be able to tell that there’s a hinge behind the display at all.
