Sand Land is an upcoming game from the creator of Dragon Ball where humans and demons partner to survive a desert world. Bandai Namco has posted a new release date trailer that shows off the game’s unique visual design which has been meticulously crafted to bring Akira Toriyama’s original story to life. While the game may not feature ultra-realistic hardware-crushing graphics it does show a passion from the developers who’ve kept a consistently high level of quality in creating Sand Land.

Sand Land is an action RPG where players can team up in their customizable vehicles which include tanks, motorcycles, buggies, cars, and mechs, on a mission to find The Legendary Spring. They will be joined by the demon son of Lucifer to save the inhabitants of the desert wasteland where the absence of water and the King of Sand Land are threatening the destruction of all.

Description (via official game page):

“Follow the unlikely group of humans and demons of Beelzebub, Rao, and Theif as they search for the Legendary Spring – a prophesied body of water that would provide drinking water to the entirety of the desert wasteland and save its inhabitants from the greed of the water-hoarding King of Sand Land.”

“Take off on a bumpy adventure written and designed by the creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama. Discover the unique art style that flows through the game, follow the character’s crazy saga, and let yourself be carried away by this original story of friendship and justice.”

Sand Land will launch on PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and both PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles. The base game will go for $59.99 and a deluxe version that includes the full game, My Room Furniture Set: Army Base, My Room Furniture Set: Hideout, Speed Demon Pack, and Beelzebub Decal Set for $69.99. There’s also a collector’s edition available for consoles which includes a Beelzebub figurine for $129.99. All pre-orders get 3 customizable vehicle colors.

As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
