Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a new game from DON’T NOD (Vampyr, Life is Strange 1-2, Jusant) which takes place in an alternate timeline. Set in 1695, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an action RPG / Adventure game featuring two romantically involved protagonists. Players can switch between each Banisher, a ghost hunter tasked with ridding troublesome spirits from the living world, to use their unique abilities and weapons in combat and exploring New Eden. The developers have said the game also features choice-driven story mechanics with impactful effects based on player’s decisions.

New Eden, 1695. Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith are lovers and Banishers, ghost-hunters who vowed to protect the living from the threat of lingering ghosts and specters. Following a disastrous last mission, Antea is fatally wounded, becoming one of the spirits she loathes. In the haunted wilds of North America, the couple desperately searches for a way to liberate Antea from her new plight.

Editions and release date info
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is being published by Focus Entertainment (A Plague Tale: Requiem, Atlas Fallen, Aliens: Dark Descent, Atomic Heart) and is getting released for PC (via Steam) and consoles on February 13. There are several editions up for preorder with the base game starting at $49.99. A collectors edition for which includes a steelbook case, statues (with interchangeable parts), an artbook, signet rings, and more, goes for $199.99.
There’s also a Red Echoes edition that includes “an ancient, leather-effect notebook illustrated with Red’s memories, an ink writing set, the game on the platform of your choice and the Wanderer Set DLC!” for $89.99.
