The OLED display of the Steam Deck OLED, Valve’s latest iteration of its popular handheld gaming PC, may begin showing signs of burn-in in as little as 750 hours, according to new burn-in test videos shared online that reveal slight burn-in at 1,500 hours, or 750 hours at max HDR brightness. The 512 GB of the Steam OLED costs $549, while the 1 TB version costs $649.

The test from WULFF DEN, who said the burn-in happened faster than he had been anticipating:

After about 1,500 hours of screen time, my OLED Steam Deck finally burned in. This isn’t exactly real world use, but it’s still faster than I was expecting.

The Phawx experienced something similar based on a video that he shared last month:

Well, after 750+ hours, my custom “game” “burned-in” my Steam Deck OLED panel.

Nintendo Switch OLED display takes 3,600 hours before burn-in may appear, according to another video from WULFF DEN:

There has been an update in my burn in test on the Nintendo Switch OLED Model. After 3600 hours, I’ve finally started to see some ghosting…
