Gears of War 6, a new mainline installment of the third-person shooter series that originally saw Xbox 360 players battling the subterranean Locust Horde as franchise favorite Marcus Fenix, is one of the games that Microsoft will be announcing during this weekend’s Xbox Games Showcase, which is set for Sunday, June 9, according to new rumors that have been shared online. The game, which was presumably developed by first-party studio The Coalition (Gears of War 4, Gears 5), is said to be exclusive to Xbox and PC despite what has been reported to be Microsoft’s increasing desire in putting some of its biggest franchises on rival consoles, including the PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
