With Amazon’s Deal Days getting kicked off, we’re starting to see some great deals rolling in and in this case, it represents the perfect send off to the AM4 platform by giving you the opportunity to upgrade to a Zen 3 (Ryzen 5000) chip at some of the lowest prices that we’ve seen.

The great thing about AM4 is that virtually all motherboards made during its run are capable of running the crème of the crop Zen 3 chips which unlock a significant performance boost above both Zen 1 and Zen 2 chipperies. Let’s dive in to what we’re seeing out on the marketplace:

Ryzen 9 5900X

If you’re into multi-core goodness, the 5900X is a steal in the low $200 price point that we’re seeing it in. Compared to the 3900X that it succeeded, we saw a big performance bump that should keep your battle station relevant in the coming years without the expense of a new motherboard or memory kit.

Newegg – $214.99 (after promo code FTT353)
Amazon – Similar Pricing

Ryzen 7 5800X

We’re seeing the Ryzen 7 5800X at the lowest price we’ve ever seen it at in the low $100 ballpark as it’s typically been priced around $200 or higher over the past couple of years. We once compared it to the Ryzen 7 3700X that it succeeded and found a rather substantial performance boost across the board.

Newegg – $128.00 (after promo code FTT224DX759)
Amazon – Similar Pricing

Ryzen 5 5600X

While the Ryzen 5 5600X is at the lowest price we’ve ever seen it, the couple dollar differential between it and the 5800X is probably not worth the squeeze. However, if stock is running out on the 5800X, this is still a great step up from even an 8 core Zen 1/2 chip. We did a comparison of the 5600X up against the 3600X so you can see how much a single generation of uplift will benefit you.

Newegg – $124.99 (after promo code FTT355)
Amazon – Similar Pricing

Ryzen 7 5700X3D

Last but certainly not least, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D is a fairly recent entrant to the AM4 family of chipperies, featuring 3D Cache like the original 5800X3D (which seems to be quite discontinued at this point). It slings 8 cores and 16 threads and is likely the best AM4 gaming CPU that you can currently buy. Expect the uplift to be similar to what we saw with the 5800X going up against the 5800X3D.

Newegg – $195 (after promo code FTT358)
Amazon – Similar Pricing
