OMEGA PHENEX COMMENCED PROJECT SIX (aka PROJECT SIX) is a new mech game from Surume Koubou that is already gaining attention from the AC community. The Japanese developer has not given a release date yet but the game is being made for PC and will launch on Steam. The game is already receiving favorable comparisons to Armored Core and Ace Combat for its visual design elements and gameplay. Surume Koubou has also said that its controls are similar to most FPS and TPS so that players can jump right in without needing to learn new layouts. A teaser trailer for OMEGA PHENEX COMMENCED PROJECT SIX was first released for Unreal Fest West ’22 which showcased some gameplay and mech customization options.
The developers could be getting close to an actual release as there is an Alpha Build demo available for those who register on Surume Koubou’s Booth website. A new official title announcement trailer has also been released featuring added gameplay footage in which more of the game’s combat missions can be seen. PROJECT SIX appears to keep things simple while offering solid gameplay, customization options, and what looks to be a well-optimized game for PC.
Recommended PC Hardware Requirements
The recommended PC hardware requirements top out with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, 15 GB of install space, and an Intel corei9-9990k CPU with 16 GB of system memory, so most modern systems should be able to provide an excellent gaming experience. Minimum system requirements get close to modern iGPU territory in recommending an NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti and an Intel corei7-4790 with 8 GB of system memory.
