Test Setup

System Setup

We are using an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D for testing. We are using the motherboard’s current default BIOS settings on the latest release BIOS. We have enabled PCI-Express Resizable BAR in the motherboard BIOS. We have enabled EXPO I in the BIOS for the memory. We are using a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro with the latest Windows Updates, including the 24H2 update. We have the latest drivers installed, including the latest chipset drivers.  We are using the “Balanced” power profile in Windows Settings, and Core Isolation/Memory Integrity (VBS) is enabled.

We are using the NVIDIA-provided press driver for the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti launch, which is version 575.94, and we are using it on each NVIDIA GPU as in this comparison as well.

SUMMARY

The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G from GIGABYTE is a well made video card, with a solid appealing textured design. Using GIGABYTE's WINDFORCE cooling system, the video card runs very cool and quiet, and delivers ample headroom for enthusiast tweaking and overclocking. It's sleek design, and looks with custom hardware and features made it a sleek design in the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti category. The performance is an uplift from the previous generation, though it can't quite reach RTX 4070 level of performance, which would one would come to expect at this point in time for this category. The 16GB of VRAM is the preferred spec for this GPU, and allows the RTX 5060 Ti to perform to its full potential. Overall, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G demands a price premium, but offers a good entry in this category from GIGABYTE.
