Gameplay Performance
In the gaming performance below, we are comparing performance at 1080p to represent a more reasonable and attainable gameplay experience goal with these graphics cards. At 1080p, we can see, without bottlenecks, how performance compares and the kind of gameplay experience one can achieve with higher playable framerates.
For the video card comparisons, we are including an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE model, this is the 8GB model, not 16GB. We are also including a GeForce RTX 4070 12GB FE video card, for comparison’s sake. On the AMD side, we are including a factory-overclocked XFX Speedster QICK 319 Radeon RX 7700 XT Black Edition 12GB, and a factory-overclocked SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB video card.
Alan Wake 2

In Alan Wake 2, we are running the game at 1080p with the highest game settings. The new GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is able to provide a playable gameplay experience, offering 82FPS average in the game, and with DLSS Upscaling that jumps up over 100FPS to 113FPS average. This puts the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G 17% faster than the previous generation GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE in this game, which is a decent bump in overall performance. It also makes it 37% faster than a Radeon RX 7600 XT, however, the Radeon RX 7700 XT and GeForce RTX 4070 are faster.
The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 7% slower than the Radeon RX 7700 XT and 12% slower than the GeForce RTX 4070. When overclocked, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G gains 7% in performance, making it equal to the Radeon RX 7700 XT in performance.
Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong is very demanding at Cinematic quality, too demanding, for these GPUs, so we dropped the game down to the “High” Graphics Quality Preset for this round of testing, since it was what was needed to be playable. We see that the new GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is playable at 1080p and “High” settings at 78FPS, and with DLSS that jumps up to 113FPS average, which is very smooth. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 18% faster than the previous generation GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE video card, offering another decent bump in overall gameplay performance. This puts it 53% above the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB graphics card.
In this game, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT by a small margin of 5%. It is a lot closer to the GeForce RTX 4070 in performance, but ultimately is still behind the GeForce RTX 4070, here by 5%. When we overclock the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G performance increases by 6%, putting it now on par with the GeForce RTX 4070 in performance.
Cyberpunk 2077

In Cyberpunk 2077, at 1080p and “Ultra” settings, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G has no trouble providing a high level of gameplay experience at high framerates. The video card is achieving 129FPS average without needing DLSS Upscaling. With DLSS Upscaling, that performance increases to 142FPS average. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is a very impressive 26% faster than the previous generation GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE in this game, which is the largest improvement we’ve seen so far in games here, and that is impressive. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is also 46% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 XT.
We also find that the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G just edges out the Radeon RX 7700 XT by a small 4%, which is very close in performance. The GeForce RTX 4070 is still faster than the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G, though, with the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G being about 2% slower, so they are very close. When overclocked, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G gains 7% in performance, and now beats the GeForce RTX 4070 by 5%.
Horizon Forbidden West

In Horizon Forbidden West, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G has no trouble running this game at 1080p at high framerates around 94FPS average, with the highest in-game settings. In this game, we definitely noticed the smoothness improvement of the 16GB of VRAM compared to the lesser 8GB on the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE video card. There was noticeable hitching, pausing, and frametime issues loading into the 8GB buffer on the RTX 4060 Ti, even at 1080p, when running this game at max settings. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G provided a smoother and overall better experience by a long shot here.
The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is whopping 30% faster than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE. Again, the 16GB VRAM vs 8GB VRAM difference is real here, in this game, and puts the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G way ahead in terms of the gameplay experience. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is also 42% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 XT and on par with the Radeon RX 7700 XT in performance. The GeForce RTX 4070 is faster, though the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 10% slower than the GeForce RTX 4070 in this game. When overclocked, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G gains 6% in performance, but still cannot beat the RTX 4070.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle


In Indiana Jones, we encountered some major issues on video cards with 8GB of VRAM, specifically the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE model. On that video card, we could not run any higher than “Medium” settings in the game; anything above this would cause the game to crash with an ‘Out of VRAM’ error message. Yep, even at 1080p, this game is so demanding on VRAM that it needs 12GB+ just to run above “Medium” settings. Therefore, in our first comparison here, we set the game to “Medium” so we could see how much faster the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is over the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB model.
At “Medium” settings at 1080p, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 15% faster than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE video card. This isn’t the highest difference we’ve seen, but we aren’t able to run at higher settings on the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB to push the cards harder, so that just is what it is. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is also 72% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 XT and 6% faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT.
The performance of the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is actually very close to the GeForce RTX 4070 at “Medium” settings, with the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G being only 4% slower. When we overclocked the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G, performance increased by 5% and is now in par with the GeForce RTX 4070 FE performance. Suffice it to say, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G plays this game very well at Medium settings at 1080p with high framerates and smooth performance.

Removing the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE model from testing so that we can run higher game settings, in the graph above, we are now running the “Supreme” graphics quality setting. The Supreme Graphics Quality setting, even at 1080p, only ran on 12GB+ VRAM video cards. At this more demanding setting, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is still delivering a very playable gameplay experience at above 100FPS! The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 72% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 XT and 22% faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT. The GeForce RTX 4070 is faster, however, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 8% slower than the GeForce RTX 4070. Overclocking adds 6% more performance, eeking closer to the RTX 4070.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

In Kingdom Come Deliverance II, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G runs this game very well at 1080p and maximum settings, delivering 86FPS average and smooth gameplay. Enabling DLSS Upscaling improves that to 100FPS, and the game is very smooth. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 20% faster than the previous generation GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE, which is a decent bump in performance. It is also 68% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 XT and 24% faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT. It’s very close to GeForce RTX 4070 performance here, only 5% slower. Overclocking adds 8% more performance in this game, higher than the other games, putting it above the RTX 4070 by 2%.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

In Stalker 2, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G provides a smooth and playable gameplay experience at 72FPS at 1080p and EPIC quality settings. Enabling DLSS Upscaling brings that up to 90FPS, and the game is super smooth. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 15% faster than the previous generation GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE, which isn’t the worst. It is also faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT by just as much, and 52% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 XT. The GeForce RTX 4070 is faster; the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 7% slower than the RTX 4070. Overclocking improves performance by 6%, but it still can’t quite reach the RTX 4070.
Star Wars Outlaws

In Star Wars Outlaws, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G offers a smooth and playable gameplay experience at 1080p and the highest game settings. With DLSS Upscaling, which is improved to 100FPS, and the game is super smooth. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is a lower 10% performance uplift over the previous generation GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB FE in this game, which is on the low side for a performance uplift gen-to-gen. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 65% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 XT and 10% faster than the Radeon RX 7700 XT as well. The GeForce RTX 4070 FE is faster, and the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is 13% slower than the RTX 4070. Overclocking the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G improves performance by 6%, but the RTX 4070 is still faster.
