System Setup Table

For the XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC Gaming Edition 16GB, we are using an AMD-supplied driver for testing: AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-25.10.09.01-Win10-Win11-PRESS-Radeon-RX9060XT. For all other AMD GPUs, we are using the latest web driver, which is 25.5.1. For the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, we are using the latest web driver, GeForce 576.52.

For our comparison cards, we chose the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G as our NVIDIA comparison. Note that MSRP pricing is higher than the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB model at $529.99 for this graphics card, and the reference MSRP from NVIDIA for the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is $429 for the 16GB model. The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GAMING OC 16G is a factory-overclocked video card.

Our reasons for including this more expensive video card will be evident in the results. Suffice it to say, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is the performance comparison to the Radeon RX 9060 XT, and with 16GB on board, matches it in VRAM capacity. Technically speaking, the 8GB GeForce RTX 5060 Ti would be the price-competitive video card, or closer anyway, but we don’t have one. The 8GB and 16GB GeForce RTX 5060 Ti have the same GPU specs, so in that sense, it is relevant and will allow us to make a value observation.

On the AMD side, it was much easier, we put the Radeon RX 7600 XT and Radeon RX 7700 XT in for comparisons to see where the Radeon RX 9060 XT sits in terms of performance. We also threw in the Intel Arc B850 Limited Edition, a $249 MSRP video card, to provide more context and comparisons for the review, and because it competes well with the Radeon RX 7600 XT.
