SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Video Card

Introduction

The SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB graphics card has an MSRP of $329 but can currently be found for a small $10 premium of $339.99 online and offers a factory overclock and 16GB of VRAM. This is less than some other 7600 XTs we have seen with premiums. SAPPHIRE is well known for high-quality video cards, and the PULSE line offers a custom cooling design with a factory overclock in a slim package. Be sure to check our pricing widget below for the latest online prices as they do change.

In SAPPHIRE’s PULSE lineup, SAPPHIRE has both the Radeon RX 7600 model and the new Radeon RX 7600 XT that was just launched this past January 2024. This is currently the only model of Radeon RX 7600 XT SAPPHIRE has, but it does have a factory overclock that boosts beyond the AMD reference specifications and it also does have a full custom design and of course, 16GB of VRAM compared to 8GB on the Radeon RX 7600. The model we have for review today is SKU# 11339-04-20G SAPPHIRE PULSE AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB.

Before we dive into the SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB let’s do a quick brief on what the Radeon RX 7600 XT is. The Radeon RX 7600 XT was announced back at CES 2024 and was launched toward the end of January 2024. The Radeon RX 7600 XT does not replace the Radeon RX 7600, it instead offers a new SKU with double the VRAM at 16GB and higher clock speeds at a suggested pricing of $329. It is geared for the 1080p gameplay experience, or 1440p in some instances. It has 32 Compute Units and Ray Accelerators, 2048 Stream Processors, 32MB of Infinity Cache, a Game Clock of 2.47GHz, and a Boost Clock of 2.76GHz. It has 16GB of GDDR6 at 18Gbps on a 128-bit bus with 190W TBP at $329.

SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB

As we mentioned, the SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB is a factory overclocked video card, offering even higher clock speeds than the already 7600 XT boosted clock speed over the 7600. The SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT has a game clock of 2539MHz and a boost clock of up to 2810MHz. This places its factory overclock at 3% over the reference spec game clock and 2% over the reference spec boost clock, just giving it a slight edge in gaming performance compared to a standard 7600 XT.

All of this is still contained in a 192W Total Board Power, just 2W higher than the reference spec 190W. SAPPHIRE recommends a minimum 600W power supply.

The SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB video card comes in a shiny white box and displays the 16GB of VRAM on the box. It was packaged well in bubble packing, which protects it secured in the box. The SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB is a 2.2-slot video card that measures 9.84″ inches in length, 5.08″ inches in width, and 1.75″ in height. It is a very slim, and compact video card that will fit well in small cases or small form factor.

We can see that the SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB is a 2-fan design and uses SAPPHIRE’s Dual-X Cooling Technology with Intelligent Fan Control and Precision Fan Control. The two fans are two-ball bearing fans with a unique custom fan blade design for reduced noise. The heatsink uses composite heatpipes to spread the heat throughout the length of the heatsink. There is a tough all-aluminum metal backplate that provides rigidity and helps keep the card cool with heat dissipation. Fuse Protection is built into the circuit of the external PCI-E power connector to keep components safe.

The SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB has 2x HDMI outputs and 2x DisplayPort on board and supports a maximum of four displays. To power this video card, 2x 8-pin PCIe power connectors are required. This video card also supports SAPPHIRE TriXX software tweak utility which you can download from SAPPHIRE.

SUMMARY

We reviewed the SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Video Card, which offers great performance compared to the competition with the 16GB of VRAM making a difference in the latest games. It's only drawback is power efficiency, while the build is solid, the cooling left a little to be desired in one aspect, though offering a factory overclocked video card for only a $10 premium is appealing for the price value.
