PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Overclocked Dual Fan Video Card

Introduction

With rising prices on RAM and GPUs, there is no better time to review the 8GB version of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti for gaming, due to its lower cost compared to the 16GB version. If you are looking to get the most value for your dollar for gaming today, we need to take a look at the 8GB GeForce RTX 5060 Ti as an option and see what kind of gaming experience it can deliver, since it is the more affordable option in today’s market. 8GB video cards may be an option gamers are looking at for cost measures, and so it is very important to evaluate the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti version of that, and see what it actually delivers for gaming.

In today’s review, we will look at the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Overclocked Dual Fan Video Card. This is a factory overclocked GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Blackwell GPU with an MSRP of $379.99, which is the reference MSRP for an 8GB GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. This NVIDIA MSRP pricing makes it a more affordable option for gaming, and gives you GeForce RTX 5060 Ti performance at a lower price point since it is the 8GB model. It is the entry-point pricing for GeForce RTX 5060 Ti performance.

PNY is a well-known veteran in the industry for video cards and other hardware. Other hardware that many enthusiasts know from PNY is solid-state drives, memory, flash drives, and the XLR8 gaming series of hardware. The video card we are looking at today is under PNY’s consumer graphics video card range, which are simply PNY-branded video cards with either RGB or non-RGB varieties in a more traditional, simplified layout and format. These designs allow a more affordable option in graphics cards from PNY.

Under PNY’s consumer graphics video card page, if you click “50 Series,” you will find 12 distinct GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards listed as available from PNY. PNY offers video cards from the high-end GeForce RTX 5090 to GeForce RTX 5080, GeForce 5070 Ti, GeForce RTX 5070, GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, GeForce RTX 5060, and GeForce RTX 5050 series, with different models underneath each one.

In the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti options, there are both 16GB models and 8GB models. Specifically under the “PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Models“, we find four varieties of that video card offered. At the high-end of this series is the ARGB OC model, and the ARGB model (non-OC), which both feature ARGB lighting and a triple-fan design. Under those models are the 5060 Ti OC model and 5060 Ti model, which are both dual-fan models without RGB. This is where you will find the video card we are reviewing today, the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Overclocked Dual Fan (VCG5060T8DFXPB1-O) video card.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti VRAM Sizes

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti launched in April of 2025, and comes in two models, 8GB or 16GB. The MSRP of the 8GB model is $379, and the MSRP of the 16GB model is $429. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU is based on NVIDIA’s GB206 die. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti has 4,608 CUDA Cores, 144 5th Gen Tensor Cores, 36 4th Gen RT Cores, 48 ROPs, and 144 Texture Units. The TDP is 180W.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti comes in two varieties, an 8GB model or a 16GB model, and the GPU is exactly the same between them. The only difference, from a reference standpoint, is that one has 8GB of GDDR7 and one has 16GB of GDDR7, so the capacity is different. The memory speed and bandwidth are exactly the same between the two models. The default GeForce RTX 5060 Ti memory speed is 28Gbps across a 128-bit memory bus, providing 448GB/s of bandwidth, despite it having 8GB or 16GB of GDDR7.

PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Overclocked Dual Fan

The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Overclocked Dual Fan is the factory overclock model upgrade over the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Dual Fan video card. For sanity purposes, we’ll refer to the video card we are reviewing as the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC video card from here on out. The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC has a factory overclock with a boost speed at 2692MHz, compared to the 2572MHz of the reference specification. This provides it a 4.6% clock speed boost over a reference video card, but the TDP remains the same at 180W, and only a single 8-pin power connector is needed.

The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC comes in a compact, well-packaged white and green box with proper lettering and information. The fact that this is the 8GB model is clearly labeled on the front of the box, as well as the OC nature and Stealth Mode cooling. The package contents are lean, with the video card and manual only. The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC requires a 600W or greater power supply, a 2-width capable graphics slot, and 8-pin supplementary power.

The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC is a compact video card, at only 2-slots wide, and short in length, it will fit in any case, and is perfect for small form factor. The video card measures: 245 x 120 x 39.9mm (9.65” x 4.72” x 1.57”), making it very small and light in weight. On board, you will find 3x DisplayPort 2.1b with UHBR20 and HDMI 2.1b. This video card does support PCI-Express 5.0, but at just x8 lanes.

The heatsink and fan design of the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC is not complex, with a dual-fan configuration on the shroud that pushes air downward, blowing air out all sides. The PCB is small and compact, and PNY does use a plate under the heatsink that makes direct contact with the VRAM and VRMs. The aluminum heatsink sits atop the GPU and plate, with thermal pads and paste, and there are four copper heatpipes on both sides of the fins. Since the PCB is small, the heatsink can extend out and allow greater surface area for the heatsink with an air pass-through out the back. There is a full-size metal backplate providing stability to the video card.

The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC has no RGB and fits perfectly in a stealth build. The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB OC does support PNY’s VelocityX software for overclocking and fan control.
