Power and Temp
On this page, we are going to look at the power utilization and video card temperatures. We will utilize GPU-Z and HWiNFO64 and real-world gaming in Cyberpunk 2077 with a manual run-through at demanding settings; these results are based on real-world in-game testing.
Power

The default TDP on the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is 180W. The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC 8GB is reaching 182.4W in default gameplay, which falls in line and makes sense based on its factory overclock nature. This also matches the same power draw as the Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB video card. With the Power Target, we are able to increase it by 10% in our overclock. We see that the power has increased almost this amount, to the maximum target of 200W, with a 195.5W power draw while gaming. The overclocking power draw increase is 7%.
Temperature

In default performance, the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC 8GB has a GPU temperature of 73.3c. This is warmer than our comparison video card at 57c, but nothing to worry about; this is a fine operating temperature for this GPU. When we overclock the GPU, without manually adjusting the fan speed, the temperature increases by only 2 degrees, up to 75.8c. Overall, these are good temperatures, and considering the slim 2-slot configuration and shorter video card, with a dual-fan configuration, these are acceptable temperatures for this video card and GPU.

Testing the memory temperature, we find the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC 8GB does much better in this area, thanks to the GDDR7. The PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC 8GB has a memory temperature of 68c at default, and 70c overclocked. This is much cooler than the GDDR6 on the Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB at 82c.
Fan Speeds

Looking at the fan speeds on the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC 8GB, we can see that it starts off at about 40% when it kicks in, and ramps up to only about 46% fan speed while gaming. The RPM is between 1320RPM and up to 1580RPM. The percentage ramping is stepped, but the RPM ramping is very linear and smooth.
GPU-Z Screenshots

The GPU Voltage at default on the PNY GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC 8GB runs at 1.0500V, and we can actually see that when overclocked, it did peak at 1.0600V on its own. When overclocked, the fan speed did ramp up to 50% on automatic controls. We are nearly hitting the maximum TDP overclocked, with just a percentage or so left, meaning we are maximizing the most out of this GPU at these clock speeds, and you can see the peak frequency at 3.112GHz.

I admit I jumped on the 8GB hate bandwagon of late, but very happy to see how well this card performs at 1080p.
I remember doing some tests with my 4090 a couple of years ago at 1080p with settings maxed to just see what FPS my rigs were capable of, but I was also shocked by how nice modern games can look at 1080p w/ current textures, RT, etc., so a value-priced card like this providing the same visuals is a great deal. I even noticed how the Amazon price dropped to $349 for now.
i think a lot of folks are doing a 180 now that more RAM requires a credit check and reverse mortgage
Maybe Ram Doubler will make a comeback.
Paying $350 for 8GB in 2026. That's a hard no from me dawg. It'll probably be consider a hot deal in a few months. The dark times have returned.
Linux and indie gaming is on the rise, I kid you not. Younger gamers with little cheddar grow weary of corpo greed. But not just the cash strapped either. My son has a 5800X3D, 32GB 3600, 7800XT. You know what he and his friends are playing? Vintage Story. It will run on a decade old potato. Tarkov is the only game they play that is hard to run. Also indie. Almost everything they play is indie.
