Rendering Performance
Cinebench 2026
We are using the brand new Cinebench 2026 version for our testing, so take note of this newer version.

In Cinebench 2026 Multi-Core testing, we see the CPUs with more cores naturally do better. The Ryzen 7 9850X3D does still outperform the Ryzen 7 9800X3D by 3% here, and what’s more impressive is the 15% faster performance compared to the Ryzen 7 9700X.
V-Ray 6 Benchmark

In V-Ray 6 Benchmark core count does affect results, but we still see the Ryzen 7 9850X3D outperforming the Ryzen 7 9800X3D by 3%. Yet again, the performance advantage compared to the Ryzen 7 9700X is much more significant, at a 17% performance advantage.
HandBrake
In HandBrake, we transcode a 10-minute video file to the Creator 2160p60 4K H.264 profile preset, rendering on the CPU only. The time in minutes is reported, and lower is better.

Encoding video, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D is faster than the Ryzen 7 9800X3D by a percent, but it’s much more impressive over the 9700X by 13%. It is actually a noticeable time saver encoding video on the Ryzen 7 9850X3D compared to the Ryzen 7 9700X.
