PC hardware requirements for Halo: Campaign Evolved have been revealed, showing that players will need beefy hardware for 4K gaming. Microsoft announced that the remake, which will be released on PC, XBOX Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, was in the works last year and yesterday revealed what PC gamers should plan for to play it at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. The game has been remade using Unreal Engine 5 and utilizes baked-in ray tracing effects, which require at minimum an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super, AMD Radeon RX 6600, or Intel Arc A580 GPU. However, if aiming to play the game at 4K using Ultra settings, only an NVIDIA RTX 4080 seems to make the grade.
PC users will need at least 100 GB to install the game and 16 GB of memory for 1080p/1440p, but are recommended to have 32 GB of memory for 4K. The game also appears to be ever so slightly demanding of CPU, with at least an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X or Intel CORE i9-13900K recommended for 4K Ultra.

Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) has said that cinematics and audio have been overhauled, including a remastered soundtrack and new sound design to take advantage of modern hardware. New voice-overs have also been recorded, along with three new missions and the original campaign. The full campaign can be played solo, but those playing on XBOX can experience split-screen two-player co-op. Otherwise, up to four players team up on other platforms. The developers emphasize that the game has been faithfully remade to recapture the feel of the original.

Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch on July 28 for PC and consoles and is rated Mature 17+ for Violence, Blood and Gore, and language.
