System Benchmarks
First, we will start with some system and rendering benchmarks: 3DMark, Cinebench 2026, and Geekbench 7. This will give us an idea of how the two CPUs compare outside of gaming.
3DMark

Starting off in 3DMark’s CPU Profile test, we can test the Max Threads performance between both CPUs. We find that the Ryzen 7 7700X3D is 7.5% slower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D when all cores are maxed out. This is therefore the performance difference you can expect when doing things that require a full-core load, like transcoding video or rendering.

In 3DMark’s CPU Profile 1-thread test, we are looking at basically one thread of performance. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D is just 5% slower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D in this scenario.
Cinebench 2026

In Cinebench 2026, running the Multi-Core test, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D is 6% slower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D in rendering.

In the Single-Core test, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D is 6% slower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D in the single-core performance.
Geekbench 7

In the Geekbench 7 Multi-Core test, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D is 5% slower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

In the Geekbench 7 Single-Core test, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D is 7% slower than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
