It’s the best of both worlds in the FA80G from FEVM, where productivity meets high-end gaming in a sleek-looking, powerful mini PC. NVIDIA’s RTX 5090 mobile GPU is, in some ways the GeForce RTX 5080 enthusiasts have been hoping for due to its increased memory. With 24GB of VRAM vs the 16GB found in the RTX 5080, and using the same GPU but with lower clock rates and power draw, the RTX 5090 mobile has proven itself an apt gaming GPU for both 1440p and up to 4K. If in doubt about this, just Google the many reviews from users praising its performance, as featured in numerous premium gaming laptops using the same resolutions.
On the CPU side of things, the FA80G can be configured either with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, an extremely competent processor for either gaming or productivity tasks, or the FN80G with an Intel 270K Plus featuring 24-cores and is capable of up to 36 TOPS. Both processors ought to be able to let the RTX 5090 Mobile reach its peak potential, especially when connected to a high-refresh-rate 1440p or 1080p display. However, a downside for the AMD model is that its Ethernet port is limited to 2.5GbE, while the Intel version includes a 10 GbE option. In addition, for those with deeper pockets, the FA80G can be configured with up to 128GB of DDR5 memory. According to Notebookcheck (via TechpowerUp), the flagship Intel model goes for ~$3,575.
A 2.6L chassis can present cooling challenges, but according to reports, FEVM has said its solutions can keep the CPU below 85 °C and the GPUs below 80 °C, with noise levels below 42 dB. Power consumption is said to be upwards of 250W. FEVM has not yet announced global availability for the FA80G or FN80G, so they are currently only available in China, but the brand does have a history of expanding its sales post-launch via outlets such as AliExpress.
