ELDEN RING, the latest action RPG from Bandai Namco and FromSoftware, is currently being adapted into a movie or TV show, suggests a new blog post from George R. R. Martin, the author best known for A Song of Ice and Fire, his series of epic high fantasy novels that served as the inspiration for one of HBO’s most popular shows of all time, Games of Thrones. Martin is credited as having provided the worldbuilding for game, whose first expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, has already reached 5 million units sold worldwide following its launch on June 20 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Martin writes:
- “…back in May of 2023, SFWA presented its Nebula Award for Game Writing to ELDEN RING, from Bandai Entertainment and From Software.”
