Features and specifications have been revealed for the GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 AM5 socket ATX motherboard. The GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 is essentially an update to the previous more budget-friendly B650/X670 motherboards that now offers USB4 and Wifi 7 sans some of the extra features found in X870E AORUS Master. As noted by TechPowerUp, the PCB is 6 layers and the use of the 3rd M.2 Gen 5 slot removes 8 lanes from the PCIe 5.0 x 16 slot.
Some modern features include the EZ-latch quick-release solutions for both the PCIe and M.2 slots making it a breeze to attach or remove graphics cards and NVME drives. An abundance of heatsinks aid in keeping drives cool while a high-gain antenna provides optimal WiFi connectivity. The Realtek ALC1220 HD audio CODEC with 120 dB SNR paired with audio-grade capacitors offers a premium audio solution. Full specifications can be found here. GIGABYTE has not yet revealed pricing for the X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 but it is expected to be a more budget-friendly offering than the X870E AORUS Master.
