It’s official, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC in just a few months, roughly two years after its release for the PlayStation 5. News of the PC release happened yesterday at Marvel’s Comic-Con event in New York where it was revealed the game would launch on January 30 on Steam and Epic Games Store. Nixxes Software will perform its magic yet again to port the PlayStation game over to PC. The developer has established itself as a reliable provider for bringing games over and although not all launches are perfect, they do end up being well-optimized over time and are known for adding PC-specific features to games. Nixxes has previously gained praise for its Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man Mile Morales ports.

“Bringing Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales to a new audience on PC together with Insomniac and Marvel Games has been a great experience for us at Nixxes,”

– Julian Huijbregts (Nixxes Community Manager)

Per Nixxes (via PlayStation Blog):

  • “We are excited to continue this collaboration and bring Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to PC with a suite of enhanced features, including enhanced ray-tracing options, to take full advantage of a variety of setups and configurations. As a child of the 70’s I was part of the many who became enthralled by the video arcade invasion of the 1980’s. Saving money from various odd jobs I purchased my first computer from a friend of my dad, a used Atari 400, around 1982. Eventually it would end up being a lifelong passion of upgrading and modifying equipment that, of course, led into a career in IT support.
