Valve has published the October 2024 edition of its Steam Hardware & Software Survey, revealing that the GeForce RTX 3060—an Ampere-based graphics card that NVIDIA first launched in February 2021 for $329—is the GPU of choice for the majority of players on Steam who have opted to share their system specs with the company. AMD, on the other hand, isn’t looking so great, as its discrete GPUs are missing from the top 30 and do not appear until 34th (Radeon RX 6600) and 35th place (Radeon RX 580).
