Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that the PS5 Slim Digital Edition will be available for $379.99 until December 24 as part of a new holiday promotion, one that knocks $70 off of the console’s $449.99 MSRP. The discount comes on the heels of several reports that discuss how scalpers are currently having a difficult time moving their inventory of PS5 Pros, with some sellers on auction sites, including eBay, listing their consoles for under MSRP. These appear to include both used items, as well as brand-new systems that were unopened.
The PS5 Pro console will be available this holiday at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $699.99 USD, £699.99 GBP, €799.99 EUR, and ¥119,980 JPY (includes tax). It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro’s Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase. PS5 Pro is available as a disc-less console, with the option to purchase the currently available Disc Drive for PS5 separately.
