Capcom was quick to announce that DLC is in the works for Resident Evil Requiem and that some could soon become available. It’s now been revealed that a mini-game is on the way, possibly with more to come, and should arrive in the early part of May. The mini-game(s) will be based on specific battles within the main story, but players will have to complete the game in order to unlock them. Game director Koshi Nakanishi and producer Masato Kumazawa shared details regarding the upcoming DLC in an interview with Denfaminico Gamer (via TechPowerUp).
“This mini-game is content that is unlocked after clearing the main story. So, if you’re planning to play it, clearing the main story during Golden Week would be just right for you to be able to play it.”
– Masato Kumazawa, Producer
Kumazawa’s statement is interpreted as meaning that the mini-game will launch after Japan’s “Golden Week,” which ends on May 6. Story DLC is also in the works, but according to Nakanishi, “all I can say is that it’s ‘currently under development,’ so please look forward to it.”
Fans of Resident Evil Requiem, who’ve completed the game to avoid spoilers, ought to give the interview a thorough read. The two developers share some interesting tidbits regarding things many players had yet to post online, such as ways for quicker aiming and other lesser-noticed details by fans.
