Origin Code is bringing a new configuration to its Vortex DDR5 lineup at Computex 2026, and the headliner this time is a 48GB (two 24GB modules) kit running at 6200 MT/s with CL28 timings, in a new Meteorite Black finish. The company is also debuting a dedicated water block for the Vortex series — one with a 178-degree wide-view LCD display built in — making this a two-product announcement aimed at high-end builders who want both performance headroom and a clean aesthetic.
On the memory side, the 48GB 6200 MT/s CL28 kit ships with an AMD EXPO profile and targets the AMD platform, supporting modern workloads ranging from AI-assisted workflows and content creation to intensive multitasking and competitive gaming. Origin Code is positioning it as part of an expanding Vortex DDR5 lineup that now spans configurations from 32GB DDR5-6200 CL26 all the way up to 256GB (four 64GB modules) at DDR5-6000 CL30, covering single-socket high-capacity workstation builds and extreme enthusiast rigs alike.

The water block is the more unusual offering. Designed exclusively for Vortex DDR5 modules, it integrates into a custom liquid cooling loop using a 2-inlet, 1-outlet flow design with standard G1/4 threads. Origin Code claims up to 50% improved heat dissipation efficiency over passive cooling, which matters for sustained stability in extended compute or AI workloads where DDR5 modules can run warm. The integrated LCD — 222×480 resolution at 60Hz with that wide 178-degree viewing angle — provides real-time monitoring of temperatures, clock speeds, and hardware metrics via dedicated software. It’s a premium system-building flex, clearly.

One note of caution from the press release itself: the water block functions as a display module only when used without active coolant flow. It does not deliver thermal benefits unless integrated into a complete custom loop. Origin Code is not marketing this as a standalone active cooling solution. Compatibility is also QVL-dependent, so builders will want to verify their specific motherboard supports the kit before committing.
Both the 48GB 6200 MT/s CL28 kit and the water block are expected to reach availability around mid-May, with pricing not yet confirmed. Origin Code will be showing the full lineup at Computex 2026 from June 2 to June 5 at Booth R0102, 4F, Hall 2, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
