Thermaltake has announced a new keyboard called the W1. This is a wireless mechanical gaming keyboard that supports the battery-saving 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy technology, as well as a standard wired USB connection. The W1 wireless mechanical gaming keyboard also features Cherry MX Red or Cherry MX Blue mechanical switches and PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) keycaps for higher durability.
“[The W1] supports ultra-fast 1ms 2.4GHz technology, with a wireless range of approximately 10 meters, and battery lasting up to 1.5 months,” Thermaltake noted in a press release. “Another wireless option is through Bluetooth. Connect to Bluetooth 4.2 enabled devices with battery lasting up to 2.5 months, or plug in for wired USB Type-C connection mode.”
“Offers Cherry MX Blue and Red mechanical switches. Blue switches are known to be responsive and audible; press a key, feel the click and know when the 2.2mm actuation point has been hit. Red switches feature simple operation and low spring resistance, making it a popular choice for users to balance between work and play. Both switches are rated at 50-million keystrokes for maximum durability.”
Thermaltake’s W1 wireless mechanical gaming keyboards with Cherry MX Red (GKB-WOW-RDSNUS-01) or Cherry MX Blue (GKB-WOW-BLSNUS-01) switches are now available for purchase. The company did not elaborate on their pricing, but you can learn more about them on their respective websites, which we’ve linked above.
