To say Netflix is feeling confident about The Witcher would be an understatement. Netflix has announced season 3, another anime film, and a family-friendly animated spin-off. The new anime feature will once again be produced by Studio Mir (Legend of Korra). The second season isn’t even out of the gates yet (December 17), but a teaser trailer for the third has already been revealed. Fans of the games might recognize the “III” symbology at the end of it.

Netflix has all the attention in the world, but maybe not the IP to contend with the Disney and HBOs of the world. So it’s understandable the company would be pushing hard to expand their most promising franchises…Netflix will also produce a new “fun filled” Witcher series for kids and families — though it’s not exactly clear how that’s going to work.
