Greymon55 has shared updated specifications for AMD’s next-generation flagship Navi 31 GPU that suggest the leading Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics card, presumably the Radeon RX 7900 XT, will boast major upgrades in the memory department. Adding clarification to a list of speculative data that 3DCenter.org shared last week, Greymon55 today noted that Navi 31 will feature a 384-bit instead of 256-bit bus, indicating a healthy boost in memory bandwidth of up to 864 GB/s in the event that red team is planning to stick with 18 Gbps GDDR6 memory for its upcoming lineup. The memory capacity of AMD’s flagship Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics card is also now rumored to be 24 GB of GDDR6, 8 GB more than the current highest-performing RDNA 2 models and a number that would put it in line with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
You should update to 128bit-256bit-384bit

– 1 GCD 5nm, 2x FP32 cores, 1xFP16 cores, 3ghz, 40% die size reduction.
– 386MB L3 64MBx6 MCD @ 4TB/s via TSMC CoWoS IO fabric.
– 24GB GDDR6 @ 768GB/s
– Perf vs 6900XT: 2.25x compute, 2.7x RT, 2.25x 4k gaming.#AMD #pcgaming pic.twitter.com/cZR2hZP2oU
Furthermore, based on the latest information that flagship RDNA3 GPU would be featuring 1 GCD (Graphics Compute Die) and 6 MCD (Memory Compute Dies), the MCM design of the Navi 31 could be much different from previous rumored. Rather than featuring two Compute Dies, the multi-chip design would only affect memory subsystem (L3 Cache/Infinity Cache), whereas the graphics die would be monolithic still.
