The PlayStation and Xbox brands may be at war, but that hasn’t stopped their respective companies from collaborating to improve gaming and other experiences. Sony and Microsoft announced today they have formed a partnership for producing new innovations ranging from intuitive cloud services to products offering user-friendly AI experiences.

The companies will leverage the power of Microsoft’s cloud computing service, Azure, to develop future cloud solutions for their game and content-streaming services. The relationship will also result in “new intelligent image sensors solutions” and consumer products with useful AI features.

“Sony has always been a leader in both entertainment and technology, and the collaboration we announced today builds on this history of innovation,” said Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. “Our partnership brings the power of Azure and Azure AI to Sony to deliver new gaming and entertainment experiences for customers.”
