Shadow of the Tomb Raider

We are using the latest version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.  We are using the built-in benchmark.  We are running the game in DX12 and have set all the options custom to the highest settings possible.  We are using SMAA2TX at 1440p.

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider the GeForce RTX 2080 FE does perform faster than the ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2070 SUPER O8G GAMING by 5%.  However, once we overclock the ASUS video card performance now edges out just over the RTX 2080 FE.  Basically, it’s the same performance and gameplay experience when overclocked.

We see the same pattern with “High” Shadow Ray Tracing enabled.  The overclocked ASUS video card edges out performance over the RTX 2080 FE, but when not overclocked it’s just right on par with RTX 2080 FE.

Lightening the load we also tried “Medium” Ray Tracing.  The same pattern still holds true.
